Make money Flipping Niche Sites

The winner of the small contest in the last post is Richael from Domain Marvelous. Congrats! Please email me your paypal address at swwastik@gmail.com (yeah, with the two w’s). Also, I’m sorry for the lack of updates – was traveling again and got busy!
If you’re seeing regular zero dollar days in Clickbank, Paydotcom and other networks; If you’re unable to sell your own product then this post might be of some interest to you. I’m going to talk about my forte – site flipping. Flipping sites, you can generate instant income starting on a shoestring budget and when you climb up the ladder, you can totally rely on other competent professionals to do the work and you rake in the profits; i.e. outsourcing.
First, there are several types of site flipping. You can flip a startup site with absolutely zero traffic, you can flip an amazon blog where you don’t even have to write the content (although you’ll have to do it en masse) or you can flip a well established blog. I’ll categorize site flipping into something like this -
- Startup Flipping
- Niche Wordpress Blogs,
- Amazon Product Blogs,
- Clickbank/Paydotcom ready websites,
- Review sites,
- Custom script sites.
- Flipping established sites
- Niche sites,
- Authority blogs,
- Forums,
- Memberships.
That was a general categorization but you get the idea. We’re targeting the startup section, niche blogs because we can get started today and be in profits as early as tomorrow! So, without any further ado, let’s get started -
Market Selection
Our first step is selecting a market to build the blog. There are tons of niche markets around, you just need to take a careful look. I’m listing a few markets I’ve built and flipped sites in -
1. Fat Loss
2. Muscle Building
3. Tattoo
4. Tattoo Removal
5. Panic Relief
6. Cure Hemorrhoids
7. Yeast Infection
8. Grow taller
9. Increase your jump
10. Lose Man Boobs
11. Acne
12. Mole Removal
13. Make money with surveys
14. Make money online
15. Blogging
16. Internet Marketing
17. Adwords
18. Search Engine Optimization
19. Article Marketing
20. CPA
21. Twitter
22. Xbox 360
23. Playstation
24. Registry Cleaners
25. Find jobs online
26. Forex
27. Reverse Directory Lookup
28. Satellite TV
29. Save energy
30. Get your ex back
31. Dating
32. Wedding
33. Sex
34. Catch a cheating spouse
35. Government Records
36. Foreclosure
37. Credit Repair
38. Debt Consolidation
39. Dog Training
40. Parrot Training
41. WoW (World of Warcraft)
42. Spyware Removal
43. Golf
44. Music Production
That list should give you some ideas. Once you’ve picked a market, our next step is to select a domain name and grab some hosting.
Domain Name and Hosting
You can grab a domain name from Name.com. There are other options but honestly, I think name.com tops all. You may also use Instant Domain Search for real time lookup of domain names. It’ll make the process a whole lot faster.
For hosting, I’d recommend Hostgator. If possible, you should buy their reseller package. It’ll help you manage the sites better and you can even offer your buyers to host with you for a minimal fees.
Once you have both, you can proceed to the next step that is building and configuring the site.
Building and Configuring the Site
For our blogs, Wordpress is the king.
Once you have your cpanel details, you may go inside, find fantastico and install wordpress in a few clicks. Next, you should change the theme, add some plugins & add content.
For themes, I’d recommend you go with a premium one. The ones at Studiopress and Woothemes will do. You may also go for free themes but it’ll make the value of the site go down drastically.
Here are the plugins I’d recommend you install -
- All in One SEO
- Google XML Sitemap Generator
- Sociable
- Feedburner feedsmith
That will do for now. Next job is to load up some good quality content. If you can weave words yourself, you can do it for your first few projects. After you have a few flips under your belt, I’d recommend you outsource the task. This way, you can concentrate on other important stuff and get more done in less time which will mean more profits.
Okay… now, all the basics are done. But almost all the blogs put for sale out there have these things with them. You’ve to make your offer stand out… you’ve to make it special. That is – you’ve to add more value to the website.
You can do that by adding different things such as -
- An absolutely gorgeous design
- Autoresponder series
- Unique/PLR eBook
- PPC ads
- Keywords List
- Extra articles
- Article Submission / Basic Marketing (Like Feed submission)
Once you’ve the site ready, with all the addons and value added stuff, you can sell it over at different marketplaces.
If it were a couple months ago, I’d have definitely recommended Sitepoint but for now, I’d recommend you go with The Warrior Forum’s marketplace. From my experience, it’s a better place and has got some buyers with pretty good pockets. And then most of our buyers are newbies or established Internet Marketers anyways.
I’ll expand more on each sub topic in the coming posts, so stay tuned.
Oh, and this is the first time I’ve posted 15th post on a single blog YAY!

Hey Swastik, thanks for considering me as a winner. Appreciate it a lot. I will email you the details.
Thanks for this extensive post on blog/site flipping. I had always wanted to learn from you, considering your success with site flipping.
Once again, you need to make use of tools such as, Micro Niche Finder to search for those areas that are yet untapped and “un-milked” for its worth. Maybe you can also search out for trends on Google, Clickbank, CPA marketing sites to identify which products are selling hot, and capitalize on this to create a site/blog related to these highly popular products.
Health niche (broad term) is another field that is very sought for, but there is very little competition. You may be able to flip health related sites at very profitable prices. Swastik, please correct me if I am wrong

Hey Richael!
You’re right. There are many other such niches we can go after… for example right now there’s “chicken coops” which has surprisingly low competition and a few products on CB selling well.
And Congrats on being selected the winner!
Thanks,
Swastik
Wow, flipping site is my favourite way to earn $ also. Well, i’m not succesed in this way yet but i have a friend who earn $10,000 from flipping site/month.
All we need on flipping site business is patient. Don’t too be rush. Do research, get traffic, and then you will get your site sold.
I know swastik since a long time and he is expert.

@Akira – Yep, if scaled well, we can make $10,000+ a month.
Akira, I guess that friend was Jason from The University Kid, right? But after he sold off TUK, he sort of disappeared from the scene. Now all I need is Swastik if I ever want to learn anything about site flipping, or even Internet Marketing as a whole.
Hey Richael,
Jason is working on his offline ventures and setting up and offline consulting and outsourcing company in India, probably Bengaluru, as far as I know!
Recently, he hosted a meetup at Mumbai.
- Swastik
Haha. Jason is not the only one flipping sites up to 5 figure level.
There are many more if you do some research.
BTW, Swastik, if you have like 10 articles on EZA linked back to your niche sites — then you can sell for higher price.
… And out of them, one’s Des.
Yep, the more value we add – the more we can charge.
Hey nice post, came from DP. You should really put your affiliate link in the studiopress/woothemes links.
I never heard about flipping niche sites, just now.. Sound interesting, I might try this site! I would love to make 10,000$ amonth haha. Well, probably it’s not a easy work. Am i right?
@richael
